Damien Roos is an author and playwright with an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. His work has appeared in such outlets as Southern Indiana ReviewNew South Journal and Barrelhouse. He is a former editorial fellow for Guernica Magazine, a former reader for PANK, and has completed his first novel, Sounds of Leaving, which was a semi-finalist for the Big Moose Prize by Black Lawrence Press. By day he works in homeless outreach, previously in New York City and currently in Asheville, NC, where he lives with his wife, pitbull and ancient black cat.
